Self Help Groups
By referring to our monthly calendar of events, you can see that a wide variety of on going self help groups meet at the North County Connection. These groups are available to you for self awareness and growth. The Community Resource Center is based on the self help concept.
Should there be groups that you would be interested in getting started, please contact us and we will create a sign up list for that group.
Social Functions
NCC knows how difficult it is to get involved socially without the use of alcohol. It is becoming more and more popular in our community as the sheer profit escalates. It is for this reason we encourage your participation in the social events offered at the center. You can also participate in the planning process of these social events, everything from coordinating this event, to decorating, to bringing your favorite dish for a potluck.
Volunteer Process
North County Connection is staffed by dedicated volunteers who want to support others in their recovery. A variety of volunteer oportunities exist, and if you are interested in participating as a volunteer, please contact the center.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board at the North County Connection is a monthly meeting for various community members who are interested in alleviating the problems related to the use of alcohol and other drugs in the community. Advirory Board members are made up of community representatives of diverse backgrounds. Meetings are open to the general public and are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 5:30 PM. If you are interested in participating on the Advisory Board, please contact us.
